Frequently asked questions

How do I get the files? Right after payment you see a download button, and you get an email with your download link. The link works for 7 days and for up to 5 downloads.

My link expired or I lost the email. Use the "Send my link again" form on the download help page, or email hello@kitchentableescapes.com with the email address you used at checkout.

Do I need special equipment? No. A home printer, plain paper, scissors, envelopes, pencils, and tape or a paper fastener. No locks or boxes.

Colour or black and white? Both are included. Colour looks nicer; black and white works just as well for play.

US Letter or A4? Both are included. Print at 100% ("actual size").

What ages is it for? Ages 8 to 12. Younger kids can play with an adult or an older child on their team.

How many players? 3 to 10. With more than 6, split into two teams.

How long does it take? Set-up takes about 20 minutes. Play takes about 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the group and how many hints you give.

Can I use it more than once? Yes, for your own household or one classroom. Print new copies for each game.

Can I use it at school? Yes, in one classroom. For several classrooms, each teacher needs their own copy.

Can I share or resell the files? No. The licence is for your own use only.

Who am I buying from? From BookPublisherTools, a business registered in the Netherlands. Kitchen Table Escapes is its brand for these games. Your card statement shows BPTOOLS* ESCAPE KIT. Details are on the Imprint and contact page.

Do I get an invoice? You get a Stripe receipt by email.

Is my payment safe? Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

What if something is wrong with the files? Email hello@kitchentableescapes.com and I will fix it. See Refunds and withdrawal.

Can I use it at a party with friends, or at a school event? Yes. The licence covers your own household, your own parties and one classroom.
